Department of Health — is preparing to initiate a procurement process to cover research into institutions that maintained unmarried mothers and their children across the relevant period of the 20th Century in Northern Ireland.Before launching a procurement procedure, DoH and CPD are conducting market consultations with a view to preparing the procurement and to inform economic operators / warm the market to the opportunity of the future procurement requirements.The objectives of this exercise are to:—Prevent unachievable projects from reaching Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) stage;—Gain initial supplier awareness, engagement and opinion, resulting in a confidence around viability of concept;—Gain insight to the market possibilities and potential innovative solutions;—Understand risks and issues not previously considered;—Gain initial supplier awareness, engagement and opinion; and—Inform the Procurement Strategy.
