Drug and Alcohol Services Supplier - Engagement Event
Descriptions
Derby City Council will shortly be conducting a Competitive Process under The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 to retender for a Drug and Alcohol integrated recovery-oriented system of care. We are inviting suitably qualified and experienced organisations in advance of a formal tendering process to a face-to-face event - to give an overview of our current strategic priorities and how they may influence future delivery in our local geography. This event will take place on 17th June 2025 from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm at Derby City Council, Council House, Corporation St, Derby, DE1 2FS. It is anticipated that our competitive process will begin in July 2025 and new services will commence delivery on 1st April 2026. Public Health Commissioners welcome the opportunity to discuss our adult and young person's priorities with providers prior to an Invitation to Tender being issued. The morning will be split into two sessions to reflect the two service elements we are seeking to procure: 1. 9.30 am to 11.00 am - Adult Substance Use Recovery Orientated System of Care This service will provide an Integrated Substance Use Recovery Orientated System of Care to people aged 18 and above who reside in Derby. The service will provide a range of evidence-based interventions to individuals requiring support with experimental and recreational, hazardous/harmful and high-risk/dependent substance use. Provision will focus on reducing the harms caused by substance use with distinct and appropriate offers for people who use: • Alcohol • Opiates • Non-opiates • Prescribed, Over the Counter, and illicitly purchased medication • Poly substances 2. 11.30 am to 1 pm - Integrated Young Person's Substance Use Service This service will provide an integrated continuum of substance use interventions to young people and young adults under 25, who reside in Derby - allowing them to access substance use support at the most appropriate level to their needs. Places are limited to 2 people per organisation. If you wish to attend, please register your interest by emailing gina.morley@derby.gov.uk before 6th June - advising which session/s you wish to attend, providing your name, email address and the organisation you work for.
