Drying Equipment for Swansea University’s ESRI Bay Campus RICE Project

Descriptions

To assist in the powdering of solid in liquid samples of algae, through a variety of procedures, such as cryodesiccation or atomisation. The project is being funded by WEFO monies and Swansea University is seeking a real and substantial in-kind contribution from suppliers.Swansea University is looking for an instrument capable of processing a range of capacities, up to 10kg solid in liquid samples of algae, typically 10-15% weight. The drying equipment must have temperature control with a maximum product temperature of 60oC, a moisture content of 5-10%, with an automatic shut off once the full volume has been processed. A further requirement is a small footprint, roughly 2mx1m due to limited space within the laboratory setting.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
