Descriptions

Walsall Council are seeking providers who are able to deliver innovative and structured activities to develop the confidence, personal organisation and motivation of Impact participants in readiness for entering the world of work, or further education. Participants may have no prior work history or may have had negative experiences of education which is deterring them from re-entering. Provision should be delivered in a locality accessible to participants resident in Walsall. Support should be a mixture of activities developing key skills such as communication and team working while progress at an individual level is monitored through a mentoring approach working in partnership with a participant's Black Country Impact Adviser. Provision should provide participants with a further understanding and accessing the world of work and the skills desired by employers, this may be through employer involvement. The length of stay should be individual to the participant's needs but on average should be around 10 days.
