Dullatur Marsh Wildlife Reserve Tree Planting, Deer Fencing & pond creation
Descriptions
Planting of approximately 30 ha of Native Broadleaves in single species groups at an average density of 400 stems/ha. All trees to be cell grown (plugs) with a height range of 40-60cm. 20cm biodegradable vole guards to be fitted to each tree. Slit/notch planting with manual screefing on grassland and localised brushcutter clearance on Rush pasture (no mounding required).Erection of approximately 3000m/3km of 180cm/1.8m high roe deer fencing with rabbit/hare netting. Fence incorporating two metal vehicle gates. Excavation of eight small (area approx 20m2 each) crescent shaped ponds across the site.
