Hire of buses and coaches with driver. The Dorset County Council Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the Provision of Passenger Transport incorporates 4 Lots. This is a list of the contract requirements that are anticipated to be required during the period of 1.9.2013 to 30.11.2013. All providers selected to the relevant lot of the DPS will be invited to submit tenders for specific contract requirements. The award of contracts will be made wholly on an evaluation of the price tendered and the successful tender will be the lowest bid received.Lot 1: Public Transport (vehicles over 16 seats)1. Dorchester – Bere Regis – Lychett Matravers – Poole5 return journeys between Dorchester and Poole, Mondays to Saturdays1 return journey between Winterbourne Kingston and Dorchester, Mondays to SaturdaysSchooldays journey between Poole and Lychett Minster.Additional short workings to give an hourly service between Lychett Matravers and Poole, Saturdays onlyEstimated value of service – 188 000 GBP per annumEstimated length of contract – September 2013 to late July 2016 (possible extension for up to one year)2. Routine taxi transport for home to school transport for mainstream school children, special education needs children to attend school, looked after children to attend school or visits to family, and for vulnerable adults to attend day care centres.Anticipated 30 routes to be required with an estimated value of each route – 35 000 GBPEstimated length of contracts – Various from 1 to 4 years.In addition to the requirements listed above the DPS may be used to tender urgent transport routes that arise during the period of this notice. This may include tenders for immediate transport requirements that have a significant social impact, or where an existing provider fails to deliver a route with immediate effect.
