The commission of: Recovery Orientated Adult Substance Misuse Treatment Services in East Lancashire. Lancashire County Council has a responsibility to make sure we do those things that will make the most difference in reducing poverty, discrimination and inequality, and improving the quality of life for local people. This service is being commissioned at a time of great change and uncertainty in public finances. As such the contents of the Service Specification will be subject to review over the lifetime of the contract. Lancashire County Council expects a flexible and community focussed approach by the provider in such circumstances. The service specification describes a recovery-orientated community substance misuse treatment service for East Lancashire. The provider is expected to proactively integrate into the wider East Lancashire partnership in order to maximise the outcomes for service users, their families and carers and local communities.
