The Authority is seeking to establish a preferred list of suitably experienced and qualified contractors to be invited to tender for individual packages of work that form part of the Authority’s 'Ebbw Vale Town Centre' Regeneration Programme (as detailed below). Each contractor may apply to be considered for one, more or all of the contracts if so desired.Contract Packages:1. Junction Improvements at the Walk (A4046) The Scheme will include works at the Walk junction on the A4046. to the rear of the Ebbw Vale Town centre.The works will include the realignment of the Road junction, creation of new pedestrian walkways, Pedestrian crossing, carriageway resurfacing, sandstone paving to footpaths, new stone walls, street lighting, fencing, street furniture and landscaping.2. Car Park A4046 at Queen Square Hill. This scheme will entail the construction of a car park. The entrance to the site will be off Queen Square Hill. The works will include the construction of the car park together with the construction of new stone walls, sandstone paving to footpaths, street lighting, fencing, street furniture and landscaping.3. Bus Interchange and Taxi RankInitial designs have been prepared for the redevelopment of the rear of the town centre. (A4046) Works will include; The construction of a New bus terminal and taxi rank the realignment of the A4046, carriageway resurfacing, New bespoke LED lighting, Bespoke bus shelters, improved fencing, street furniture, CCTV, Signage, the installation of Video Screens and pedestrian crossingsContractor SelectionThe objective of the selection process is to assess the responses to the Pre-qualification Questionnaire and select six potential contractors (maximum) for each work package, to proceed to the next stage of the procurement.
