EdTech Demonstrator Schools and Colleges Programme - Phase 2: Evaluation Partner

Descriptions

The DfE are looking to appoint a partner to evaluate the EdTech Demonstrator programme over 2021-22. The programme was launched April 2020 to offer peer support, advice and training in ways technology can be used to strengthen their remote education and catch-up provision. A separate procurement will be undertaken to appoint a delivery partner to oversee a digital advisory alliance, currently the 'EdTech Demonstrator Network' Evaluation will run from April 2021 to the end of the 2022 academic year. Throughout 2021-22, the programme will be responsible for ensuring use of technology is driven by pedagogy and business need. The network will offer support, advice and guidance centred on 5 KPIs: 1.Catch-up and recovery including ways technology can bolster pupil/student progress and outcomes, making education boundless anytime, anywhere; for example, through online and in-person teaching and supporting high-quality assessment and feedback. 2.Reducing teacher workload, including ways technology can remove unnecessary workload burdens, support more flexible teaching practices, improve access to excellent curriculum resources and develop professional bonds. 3.Strengthen school and college improvement plans; ensuring that adoption of technology has a clear plan and supported the wider aims of the school/college. 4. Support excellent school/college resource management, including ways technology can get the best value for money from their existing resources and securing informed procurement decisions where necessary 5.Securing a curriculum approach that ensures accessibility and inclusion, including focus on those pupils with SEND, and those who have been excluded/suspended. The evaluation partner will be responsible for: -Supporting the development of a diagnostic tool, used by the network to promote a consistent high-quality support offer. -Providing formative and summative evaluations, based on the network's revised KPIs. -Designing an evaluation framework, ensuring a high number of responses from supported schools / colleges. ***AMENDMENT*** This opportunity will now be published via an expression of interest as opposed to the Education and Children's Social Care DPS.
