Descriptions
The Framework will be comprised of 6nr. Electrical Contractors who will be invited to tender for all electrical works contracts of a specific value range at AIT for a period of 4 years. The projects will include works directly contracted to AIT, which would typically involve the following:•Main Switchgear Replacement •Life Safety Systems Upgrades•Building / Area Refurbishment Projects•Energy Saving Upgrade Projects•CCTV Systems expansion•Intruder Alarm systems Upgrades•Exterior Lighting Upgrades•Misc Minor Works ProjectsThe typical value range for these contracts is €5,000 - €500,000 (excl. VAT)The Framework will also be utilised where necessary to appoint Named Specialists to Main Contracts for larger Works projects. The value range for the main contracts is unknown, however the Main Contracts (i.e. with the Main Building Contractor) will be cover all value range projects; Type1, Type2 and Type 3.The initial project to be tendered to the Framework is the "HTL Building; Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting Upgrade". This project is comprised of the installation of a new fire alarm and emergency lighting system to the Hospitality, Tourism & Lesiure (HTL) Building on the AIT Main Campus, and it is anticipated the project value is in the range of €150,000 - €200,000 (excl. VAT). Subject to the successful completion of this process, the tender documents for the prject will be issued in early to mid April, with a contract programme of June - August 2021.
