Emerging Talent Placement Partnerships

Descriptions

At Historic England we are experts in our field. But we acknowledge that we are not experts in every field. That is why we work in partnership with those organisations who really know the audiences we are targeting for this programme; and can provide resource and expertise to attract and engage with emerging talent. Historic England are looking for partners who can attract and support individuals aged 18-30 years old to apply for our Emerging Talent placements on offer for the duration of the contract on a yearly basis; who fit into one or more of the following demographic groups: o People with Black, Asian and Ethnic Minorities o Disabled People o People who are disadvantaged by their social and/or economic background or circumstances The partner will be required to fulfil the following: 1. Support in promotion and recruitment of placements a. Advertise and promote the Emerging Talent placements on offer across diverse networks both online and face to face; with a national reach b. Supply a minimum number of candidates (to be mutually agreed) from the named demographic groups to apply for the placements on offer; matching candidates with requirements of role as far as possible; and within relatively short time frames c. Promote the Historic England brand through the benefits of placements, within the context of the wider Future Talent Programme d. Promote any other early career opportunities we may have at the time. 2. Support to individuals applying for placements a. Provide training/guidance to the candidates on application writing and submissions, interviewing techniques and general employability skills. 3. Support and guidance to Historic England on supporting young people in the workplace a. Allocated point of contact to deal with any queries or requests from Historic England. b. When working with those just starting out in a job, there is the risk that they may struggle to settle into their placement; not understand how to behave in a professional environment; be unable to complete tasks to an expected level; or even to know when to ask for help and support etc . We would require our Partner to be able to provide guidance/support/training to our staff on good practice on dealing with such issues. 4. Provide training for historic England staff for managing young people in the workspace and inclusive work practices. We would not require partners to undertake interviews of candidates for the placements themselves; this will be undertaken by Historic England (or other relevant placement host organisations). We would require partners to turnaround profiles for us within one week of receiving a job description.
