Employment Support Pilot

Descriptions

The Employment Support Pilot is a 3-year programme scheduled to commence in June 2018, aimed at tackling unemployment and low pay within 9 communities across the WMCA. The intention is for the pilot to be embedded within communities, engaging individuals who are 16 plus, from day 1 to long-term unemployed supporting individuals into sustainable employment opportunities. The other area of focus will be working with individuals on low incomes to increase their wage. The WMCA is looking for an inclusive community response, providing both pre and post-employment support promoting “community support for work”. The pilot will have a payment by results model based on engagement, job attainment, job sustainment and job progression. The WMCA welcomed interest from individual organisations or partnerships who could demonstrate an understanding of the identified communities needs.
