This prior information notice provides explanation and justification for the direct award of the existing end of life care services contract to the current provider, Earl Mountbatten Hospice. The CCG’s investment in this provision is 3 059 212 GBP per annum (19/20 value) and will include the discharge coordinator role which has been previously been funded separately while proof of concept was established. It is proposed that the length of the contract would be 5 years with the option to extend up to 5 years, commencing 1.4.2020.
