The Scope of work is to assist BEIS with such tasks for each project as may be required as follows: •Provide a technically informed review of project reports in writing to BEIS. •Confirm in writing to BEIS the extent to which milestones agreed in the Grant Offer Letter have been achieved. •For each claim for payment, provide verification of project progress in writing to enable BEIS to authorise payments. •Provide briefing BEIS on technical aspects and likely project deliverability, including risks. •Attending meetings with grant holders (and others) as required and briefing to BEIS on issues relating to or arising from such meetings. •Monitor project development and provide a technical assessment of progress against the project plan. •Provision of independent technically informed advice on proposed changes to the project, however they arise. •Direct engagement with grantholders in the capacity of an "independent technical advisor contracted to BEIS" as may be required by BEIS (a troubleshooting role). •For DemoWind, work with the grant recipients to develop a robust assessment of the expected reduction in Levelised Cost Of offshore wind Energy (LCOE). •Any other tasks BEIS may reasonably request the contractor to undertake relating to the DemoWind and BESTF programmes. The DemoWind and BESTF programmes are about 60% and 50% complete respectively and comprise a total of 13 projects. The BEIS project manager assign these projects to the successful bidders to that the work is shared equally.
