The Trust is seeking to procure a fully managed service to provide an Integrated Electronic Patient Record Solution with the goal of facilitating the following objectives:— improving the quality of care delivered to patients through better recording and appropriate electronic sharing of information — improving patient safety through enhanced clinical decision support — improving the internal processes that deliver and support patient care — improving the patient experience by allowing the patient to interact with the Trust electronically for bookings and for direct access to their own medical information where appropriate — improving access to patient information with stronger security and information governance — reducing the cost and complexity of the IT Landscape by replacing currently separate interfaced applications with an integrated solution — Reducing the Trust's dependence on the paper case note over time to a point at which the Trust could be considered ‘paper-light’ or even ‘paper-free’ — improving the end-user's experience by delivering the majority of information from a single consistent user interface via a single user authentication — delivering enhanced management information which the Trust can deploy for the purposes of service improvement.
