ERDF Funded Rail Improvement Projects (NSIP+ and Gowerton): Final Evaluation

The Welsh Government (on behalf of Welsh Ministers) is looking for a supplier to undertake a final evaluation of two European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) rail improvement projects, which are as follows;(i) National (Wales) Station Improvement Plan+ (NSIP+)(ii) Gowerton RedoublingThe need for a final evaluation is a condition of grant and a key requirement prior to the close of these projects in June 2015. Furthermore, an independent evaluation by an external consultant body is mandatory given the scale of European funding invested in these capital projects. Due to the similarities in the aims, objectives and proposed outcomes of each of these projects, added to the fact that they are all part of a body of EU funded rail enhancement projects, the Welsh Government has elected to commission them as part of the same contract.
