E-Scanner and Hardware - Digitisation of the processes associated with horse identification and anti-doping in the horse racing industry.

Descriptions

The IHRB requires the provision and ongoing support of an iOS/Android phone or tablet application and supplementary hardware which will, support the identification of horses via a secure microchip scanner, allow for recording of relevant information, allow access to relevant information on the track, allow for efficient second scanning of horses, produce and retain a range of information relevant to the horse, trainer and scanning and sampling processes. Broadly speaking, the application and hardware must allow connection to 4G or 5G data or WIFI, communicate with a number of existing information sources, produce data which can be imported into existing and / or yet to be developed systems, retain a range of information in a format that can be imported into the current systems and support auditing and reporting functionality. The information will be communicated via APIs and/or web services from approximately two external organisations and to approximately five internal sources. This may change in future. The combined hardware should only require one hand to use for health and safety purposes.
