The site consists of a 2-3 phase cemetery at Carr’s Hill. It is believed the cemetery was in use from 1847 to the 1990's and was managed by a number of institutions ranging from the Poor Law Union to the Southern Health Board and now by the Health Service Executive (HSE).There are no previous survey documents available for the site. The Conservation Management Plan will be used to:•Inform our project proposals to set out our long-term maintenance and management strategy and also identify maintenance and management costs. •Build community engagement with the cemetery.•Assist us in understanding burial practices on the site.•Support applications for funding to secure the conservation and maintenance of the site.
