ESTYN - Contract for the provision of training films for Estyn inspectors – CON 03 2015-16

Descriptions

Estyn trains around 2,000 inspectors every year through a comprehensive training programme comprising face-to-face and online learning. As part of the training we ask inspectors to watch films of lessons in order that they can practice their lesson observation skills and identify strengths and shortcomings in the classroom..We are seeking a Contractor to create new training films showing lessons in primary and secondary schools and PRUs. These will be used in training for around 900 delegates a year and we expect these films to have a shelf-life of 4-5 years..The filming will need to be carefully managed as we need to achieve a mixed quality of lessons..The Contractor will be required to travel to 18-26 schools across Wales. It is anticipated that this project will require a minimum of 13 filming days and a maximum of 21..The Contractor must also be able to conduct the filming and editing competently and confidently through the medium of Welsh...NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
