The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is a non-departmental government body carrying out research into nuclear fusion as a future source of energy. At UKAEA, we are involved in the development of water chemistry regimes, corrosion mitigation, and modelling for DEMO and ITER via a collaborations with the EUROFusion FP9 framework.UKAEA wishes to engage with potential prime contractors, SME’s and manufacturers for the support of modelling and experimental verification, and the development of a corrosion database which is essential in order to define and understand the required water chemistry regime in fusion reactors.
