Evaluate the impact and benefit of the Branching Out into Community Play Project against the stated outcomes.o2900 children and young people between 8-12 years old have access to high quality staffed open access play opportunities by the end of the project.oA minimum of 60% of the 20 communities in receipt of service display positive attitudes towards children playing by year 4 of the project. Resulting in a greater participation and support for children and young people playing out in there own community.oA minimum of 25% of the 20 communities in receipt of the service by the end of the four years will have established community constituted groups and taken over the delivery of the Play provision within their community so children and young people have continued access to high quality play opportunities.It is proposed that a three-stage process be undertaken which includes the development of an evaluation tool, which demonstrates the impact of the project on the communities engaged. Stage 1: Develop tools for evaluating impact this will include developing a baseline tool to be completed by the Play Teams prior to play opportunities being delivered in the locality. Stage 2 – A total of 20 communities will be engaged in the project over the four years. At the end of year two it is expected that 12 discreet communities will be engaged. Based on the information generated from the tool developed an interim report needs to be produced. This will include area for further development for the remainder of the project. Stage 3 – Final evaluation report covering the life of the project against the outcomes.
