Evaluation of Next Generation Broadband Wales 2015 – 2018

The Welsh Government wishes to commission an evaluation of the Next Generation Broadband Wales (NGBW) Programme to cover the delivery period 2015 – 2018 (herein referred to as ‘the Programme’). The Programme is a joint Welsh Government and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funded project designed to contribute to the Digital Agenda for Europe targets in Wales of 100% access to next generation broadband (30mbps and above) and 50% access to 100mbps.All projects started on Jan 1st 2016 with retrospective funding being applied from 1st July 2015. Final delivery is scheduled to be completed at the end of February 2018 with the final claim expected to be submitted by the end of June.The overall aim of this contract is to produce a summative evaluation which assesses the outcomes and impact of the Next Generation Broadband Wales Programme over the period 2015 – 2018.The final report will include conclusions based on the key findings from the evidence and propose recommendations relevant to future broadband infrastructure delivery in Wales.A budget range of £40,000 - £50,000 will be made available for this contract.The next stage of the process will be to invite quotations from interested parties through the Sell2Wales website.
