Evaluation of Pan Wales Tourism

The Welsh Government is looking to undertake an evaluation of the support offered to the tourism sector through Visit Wales under the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020. This consists of four Visit Wales projects:•the Micro and Small Business Fund (MSBF) operating through the Tourism Investment Support Scheme (TISS),•the Tourism Amenity Investment Scheme (TAIS) operating through the Tourism Investment Support Scheme (TISS),•the Rural Tourism Engagement Fund (RTEF) and;•the Tourism Product Innovation Fund (TPIF).The overall aim of this piece of work is to evaluate the suite of tourism schemes delivered through Visit Wales under the Rural Development Programme in delivering against the aims of the programme and the broader aims of the Welsh government tourism strategy. The piece of work should act as a midterm evaluation and should therefore predominantly focus on issues of delivery and implementation although there may be scope to assess early indications of progress towards impact.In particular it is expected that the evaluation will focus on:•The alignment of projects with the RDP and WG policy•Project Management and suitability of data systems•The delivery and implementation of the projects•Progress towards outputs/outcomes•Contribution towards the Cross Cutting Themes.In delivering against these areas it is expected that the evaluation will begin in early 2019 with fieldwork to be conducted during Spring/early Summer of 2019 with a report by the end of Summer 2019.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=89248.
