Evaluation of the effectiveness of town centre regeneration projects in Bridgend and Maesteg

In order to identify the effectiveness of regeneration activity and investment, Bridgend CBC is seeking evaluation expertise, to complete analytical reports at three key stages; a baseline study at the point of appointment (for Bridgend and Maesteg), a mid-term evaluation of progress (for Bridgend Town Centre only, following the completion of the second phase i.e. Court Road & Derwen Road), and a final evaluation following completion of the regeneration activity (for Bridgend in late 2014 and Maesteg in early 2013). It should be noted that project completion dates may be subject to change due to project slippage associated with unforeseen circumstances etc. and this should be factored into the commission. The evaluation undertaken in each of the town centres will be comprehensive, with indicators of town centre vitality and viability, town centre user satisfaction, and extent of physical improvements, amongst the factors expected to be identified and critically analysed.
