Evaluation of the Farming Connect Agrisgop Management Development programme

Agrisgôp is an innovative training programme using action learning as the delivery method to capture the imagination of farming families, and providing them with the skills in building their confidence to stimulate a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.The programme aims to enable farming families to identify the strategic implications of their business, including changes in trading and regulatory environments, whilst identifying a way to meet future challenges in a sustainable and innovative way. This is primarily delivered via group activity. Agrisgop operates pan Wales and comprises approximately 30 groups per annum made up of between eight to ten farmers each.The aim of the evaluation is to establish the impact of the Management Development programme “Agrisgôp” on those individuals that have participated in the project. The evaluation will need to inform the project management team as to whether further intervention of this nature is required, and if so what the future training needs in the area of Management Development are likely to be. We expect the final evaluation report to be presented to Farming Connect in December.
