We have a leadership role to support the sector and develop resources to assist the sector to meet the requirements of the Welsh Language Standards and More Than Just Words. Our aim is to support and encourage a bilingual workforce to meet the needs of individuals receiving care and support.Social Care Wales’ Work Welsh programme has been developed in partnership with the National Centre for Learning Welsh (NCLW) to improve the Welsh language skills of social care workers to better support those using care and support services and their families through promoting the use of the Welsh language.We are looking to commission an independent evaluation of the programme to help us plan the project moving forward, learn from what has worked well and identify what the challenges have been.
