Evaluation of Woodlands for Water Project (Sustainable Management Scheme/SMS)

Descriptions

We are seeking the services of an independent project evaluator to undertake research and reporting on the effectiveness of the Woodlands for Water Project in achieving its aims and objectives. Funded by the Welsh Government and European Union through the Sustainable Management Scheme until June 2022, the Woodlands for Water Project is a landscape scale conservation project delivering environmental enhancement works on private farms and the public forest estate within the catchments of the Afon Alun and Afon Chwiler in North East Wales. The appointed contractor will undertake qualitative and quantitative research in order to measure the project's deliverables against its stated aims and objectives, since the project's start date in October 2020. We expect this research will be presented through the production of a report, presented in a format appropriate for sharing with the Welsh Government and the Wildlife Trusts before the end of March 2022.Regular communication will be maintained between the contractor and the Project Manager who will provide access to the project's accumulated data and contacts database.
