Cardiff University is seeking a contractor to construct and drill 2 numbers of exploration boreholes for investigating the heat potential of groundwater in abandoned mine workings as a part of Delivery of a Detailed Feasibility Study for the Proposed Upper Llynfi Valley Heat Network Scheme project. The depth of 2 boreholes are expected to be ~310 m and a minimum diameter of 4 inch/102mm at the base of the boreholes. The investigation will be carried out at old Caerau colliery site in South Wales and in collaboration with Bridgend County Borough Council.
