Exploring the Experiences of Fair Work in the Hospitality Sector

Descriptions

The Fair Work Convention (FWC) – an independent body with a remit to advise Scottish Ministers and advocate and promote fair work - wishes to commission a qualitative investigation into the experiences of workers in the Hospitality Sector. Insights gained through this project will be core input to the FWC’s upcoming inquiry into fair work in the Hospitality Sector, which is due to commence in early-Summer 2022. It is anticipated that a series of online focus groups and/or interviews will be utilised to meet the project’s aims and objectives. The successful contractor is asked to present evidence from these focus groups/interviews regarding the experiences of fair work across a number of different demographics of hospitality worker, while also demonstrating some of the complexity and divergence of workers’ experiences of fair work in the Sector.
