NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit on behalf of NHS England — Specialised Commissioning (referred to as the Commissioners) are inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified providers capable of delivering a Paediatric Transfer and Advice Service across the East of England region (excluding Milton Keynes).Paediatric Critical Care (PCC) Services exist to ensure that critically ill children have equitable access to timely, safe and clinically effective PCC provision wherever they present in a geographical area. A PCC Transfer Service only provides transport between hospitals and does not respond to ‘primary’ 999 calls.The PCC Service will need to be available at all times (24/7) for all units within the East of England geographical catchment area to provide:• Clinical advice to referring clinicians;• Safe and effective transfers for critically ill children (including ventilated);• A bed location service for PCC transfers.
