Wiltshire Council:Design & Construction services to extend and remodel existing Leisure Centre to create the new Five Rivers Campus.1.0 Introduction1.1 The Council invites expressions of interest to tender for a contract for design and construction to include 3 new build extensions, remodelling and partial refurbishment of an existing leisure centre and construction of a new All Weather Pitch (AWP) to create Five Rivers Campus, Salisbury, Wiltshire.1.2 Campus Developments form part of the Council's Transformation Programme to rationalise its operational estate. A campus is a building, or collection of buildings, in a community area that provides all the services communities need in easy to access location/s. In this sense, the term services is all encompassing and includes services delivered by the Council, its partners, other public service providers and services provided by the voluntary and community sector.The Council is committed to providing or facilitating the development of a number of community campus buildings across the county. The design and service offer of each building will directly reflect the needs of the area it serves, therefore they will take different forms and will be driven by different factors.The means by which the needs of the local area are determined is through the formulation of a shadow Community Operations Board (COB) for each Community Area.1.3 The Five Rivers Campus will be created by extending and remodelling the existing Five Rivers Leisure Centre located at Hulse Road, Salisbury.
