Solihull Community Housing (SCH) is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) that was established in April 2004 to takeover the management of housing services on behalf of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC). SCH's responsibilities include the management and maintenance of the Councils' housing stock which consists of approximately 10,748 properties. This portfolio includes houses, maisonettes, high rise and low rise flats, sheltered accommodation and community centres. SCH ("the Employer") wishes to enter into Contract with a Contractor ("the Contractor") for an Extension Scheme consisting of one project at Address: 18 Cole Green, Shirley, Solihull ("the Works"). The Employer invites Tender submissions from Tendering Contractors for the provision of the Works as detailed within "Schedule 2: Specification" of the ITT Document. The works are to include but not be limited to: Completion of a single storey extension to a property Co-ordination with the Capital Improvements team and the resident to schedule works Completion of works in accordance with a detailed specification and drawing document Liaison with external Architects to meet Building Control and Health and Safety requirements Arranging work schedules with sub-contractors (where applicable) Production of a work programme prior to commencement of works The Contract Commencement Date is to be agreed upon the award of the Contract. Contractors are deemed to have visited the Contract address covered by the Works in order to be thoroughly acquainted with the area and the type of property involved and the conditions under which the Works will have to be carried out. No claim made by the Contractor will be allowed on the grounds of deficiency of knowledge in such matters. Site Visits A site visit has been arranged for contractors to view the property. The site visit will be on Tuesday 22nd August at 11.00am. A member of the Capital Improvements team will be in attendance at the property until 12.00pm. This is the only site visit time available; contractors are not permitted to visit the property at any other time. Please confirm if your organisation intends to attend the property on the date and time as stated above by the working day before the site visit. Client contact details are to be provided upon award of the contract. The successful contractor is to be selected through a formal open tender process. In order to be considered for the award of this contract, contractors must be registered on the electronic tendering portal at www.csw-jets.co.uk in order to express an interest in this tender and complete the required tender documents. The closing date for the submission of completed tenders is no later than 12:00 noon on Thursday 7th September 2017.
