External Evaluation and Research provider for the Out of Programme Pause Initiative.

Descriptions

An evaluation partner is required to rigorously record, measure, explore and evaluate the outcomes of the initial phase of the OOP-P initiative in four HEE local areas; East Midlands, North East, NCEL (London) and Wessex, across a spectrum of different medical specialties. This initial phase is being used to inform the wider roll out of which the findings from this evaluation will be key. The evaluation will capture the impact over a three-year period on trainees taking Out of Programme Pause on both the trainee's wellbeing, exploring retention, impact on service provision, impact on those in a supervisory role (both from a capacity and capability perspective) and the impact of counting capabilities in the non-training placement and impact on trainees anticipated CCT date. A cross-cohort and cross-speciality approach should also form part of the evaluation. The outcomes of the evaluation will inform improvements to the initiative in the future. The evaluation should be designed to compare process and outcomes across different contexts, such as more than one OOP-P local office site, and/or across different specialities.
