External Redecoration & Replacement of Timber Fascias & Soffits to Council Owned Domestic Properties

The scope of the contract will cover the External redecorations and replacement of timber fascias and soffits with UPVC to domestic properties owned by the Customer. It will also include any repairs necessary before redecoration.Quantities are expected to be in the region of 800 properties and 300 garages per annum for the 5 year period. Work will be carried out in occupied and vacant properties.The Contractor must be able to undertake all elements of the work including provision for scaffolding.Tenderers will be asked to submit proposals for cost reductions and savings during the contact period, together with innovative proposals for incentivising performance.The Form of contract will be a Joint Contract Tribunal (JCT) Measured Term Contract 2011 (MTC 2011).The rates will be tendered on the basis of schedule of rates for External redecorations and repairs, including the replacement of fascias and soffits. All individual rates are to be priced. The pricing of the Building/Pre Painting Repairs Schedule of Rates will be used as part of the ITT tender evaluation process only.As part of the ITT Tenderers are requested to visit all the sites and ascertain for themselves the nature and extent of the works and the conditions under which they are to be executed. In addition, they should note that prior to the commencement of the works they are expected to visit all properties and provide detailed measurements and prices of all works as directed by the supervising officer.Further detailed information on the location of properties and the refurbishment program will be contained in the ITT Document which will be provided to shortlisted tenderers with in the ITT documents.Please note that in the event of re-structuring within local government that this procurement will pass to successor authorities.The Contract is expected to be for 5 years from 01/04/14 to 29/03/19The approximate value for the life of the contract is 10,000,000 GBP.
