Descriptions
• To provide new rain screen cladding /insulated render system and new double glazed windows.• Upgrade works to flat roof areas and storage tanks.• Adjustments to refuse storage.• Upgrade/new design to car parking area and open spaces.• To extend the life of the building for another 60 years.• Improvements to energy efficiency in compliance with Building Regulations Approved Document L (Conservation of Fuel and Power) and Approved Document F (Means of Ventilation) to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.• To improve the building 'U' Values and protect the structural integrity of the 80 flats and communal spaces.• Improve the appearance of the block and aesthetics for the benefits of the local community and town centre.• The works will be offered to a suitable Design & Build Contractor who can demonstrate experience and excellence in delivering projects of this nature.• Contractors should be able to demonstrate how they can make a contribution to the local economy and support Community Involvement• There is a possibility these works may interface with other internal improvement works. The programme will have to be carefully prepared in consultation with other teams, Project Managers and appointed contractor and sub-contractors.
