Descriptions

Notification of Award of the following:Thames Water (TWUL) are seeking a partner to deliver a programme of improvements to their existing lubrication practices and provide an ongoing service to: supply the required lubricants; provide expert support; and monitor the implemented improvements. The overarching objective of this programme can be defined as: To reduce impact to the customer by implementing a best practice lubrication management process which improves asset reliability and drives down cost of failure (downtime / knock on costs / new equipment) and energy consumption. The key aims of the programme are as follows:1. Gather a complete understanding of as-is lubrication practices and site by site lubrication requirements;2. Improve on-site lubricant facilities to ensure the new standards can be adhered to as well as remove old oils which are no longer of use;5. Ensure operations staff are fully trained to apply the new standards and understand the need for adequate lubrication;6. Define and implement a structured change programme to ensure that the new processes are successfully implemented throughout the TWUL estate;7. Secure ongoing expert support for lubrication and continual monitoring of lubrication practices which can be called upon when required. The scope of the programme will include approximately 350 of TWUL's waste process sites and approximately 2 000 pumping stations. The expectation will be for the successful bidder to deliver this programme of transformation across these sites to a defined plan. Site/asset surveys;2. Provision and installation of new lubricant management and application equipment;3. Definition of standards and rationalisation of lubricants;4. Training of personnel;5.
