1.1IntroductionThis project is part of a redevelopment programme which has received funding through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, the role of which is to support investments in processing/marketing and/or development of agricultural products throughout Wales.Welsh Government’s RDP funded Food Business Investment Scheme (FBIS) is designed to help primary producers of agricultural products and businesses that do first and/or second stage processing activities in Wales.Puffin Produce Ltd’s growth has been built on proactive engagement with the major retailers and their ability to secure contracts with Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury, Morrisons, Waitrose and M&S. In order to maintain supply contracts with these leading retailers, Puffin Produce has been at the forefront of continuous development that includes expansion of its facilities and range to motivate increased sales and product marketability.1.2ObjectivesPuffin Produce plan investment in further increasing scale, efficiency and infrastructure of their current potato operation. The next stage in development involves the refurbishment of the Toilet Facilities in the production area.Puffin Produce Ltd are inviting contractors to assist in this development.1.3Time ScaleThe above project is to have an anticipated commencement on site date of 3rd September 2018 and should be completed by November 20181.4LocationThe work will be carried out at Puffin Produce’s main processing site at Woodlands, Withybush Industrial Estate, Haverfordwest, SA62 4BS.1.5Project activitiesThis tender publictation is seeking Sub-contract work: TOILET FACILITY REFURBISHMENT – the supply of all materials, labour, plant and access equipment in relation to the refurbishment of the existing factory toilet facility. Sub-contractor to satisfy themselves that they have allowed for all necessary access equipment in order to carry out the works including being aware of site conditions that may have an effect on completing the works. Contractor must allow for all materials, tools, equipment and skips to carry out the works.Note:•Essential that the Sub-contractor make site visit to assess extent of works and discuss requirements with client•Sub-contractor to allow for task lighting and power for the duration of their works (as required)•Sub-contractor to allow for material storage within price (as required)•Onsite WC and mess facilities are available ‘por gratis’2.1General Information and conditionsPuffin Produce Ltd wish to appoint a sub-contractor to carry out the work described above. The appointment will be by a process of competitive tendering, advertised through the Sell2Wales website. The requirement is set out in the specification, which is included below.2.2Submission of Written Quotation•Prospective supplier/s are required to submit a written quotation either as a pdf or word document to russell@puffinproduce.com.•Written Quotations must be submitted no later than the deadline listed on the title page.•Your response must bear the Quotation reference listed on the title page.•The Quotation and all accompanying documents to be submitted together. Once accepted, all details of the Quotation, including prices and rates, submitted by the winning bidder are to remain valid for 90 days from the deadline date of the quotation.•Quotations should be priced in pounds sterling (GBP) and all payments will be made in pounds sterling.2.3Queries relating to this Request for Quotation•Any query in connection with the invitation should be sent to owain.phillips@austwel.co.uk2.4Acceptance of the QuotationPuffin Produce Ltd does not undertake to accept the lowest Quotation, or part, or all of any Quotation, and the acknowledgement of receipt of any submitted Quotation shall not constitute any actual or implied agreement between Puffin Produce Ltd group and the Supplier. Puffin Produce Ltd reserves the right to accept any part, or all, of any Quotation or Quotations at its sole discretion. Our evaluator(s) will consider all Quotations correctly submitted and will select one or more with a view to reaching a contractual agreement subject to clarification of any outstanding matters.
