Families First is a Welsh Government key programme for delivering better integrated support for families living in or at risk of living in poverty. Its principal focus is supporting families through interventions at the preventative and protective stages. ‘Families First’ aims to drive improvements to family support design and delivery and in doing so reduce the number of families developing more complex needs and requiring more intensive and costly interventions.The project is made up of six individual programmes and this procurement is to establish Parnter Providers for one of the four areas (lots) to support the Lead Provider of Programme 1 as follows: Lot A: Vocational Skills to Employment Programme (Parents)This Lot will supply a series of accredited vocational skills programmes to parents/working age adults within the family with the specific aim of developing the personal and professional skills of eligible participants, thus improving their employability, and increasing likelihood of gaining employment, accessing further training or higher education.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=18332.
