His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service would like to engage with the market for two requirements; -Family Engagement Services -Social Worker Services Family Engagement Services (Grant) -Prior to release, offering and providing pre-release family group conferencing to women and their families, by FEWs/facilitators trained in family group conferencing -Developing and providing other pre-release and post-release support that will help women prepare for the emotional, interpersonal and practical challenges associated with returning to their community family role and responsibilities. -Providing 'warm referrals' into community family hubs / women's centres / other appropriate community support available to support women and their families. 'Warm referrals' means more than just sign posting; it involves an active effort to encourage and support women to engage with the support that is available and may include the offer of an escorted introduction and first visit. Social Work Provide continued social work at HMP Send and HMP Eastwood park, supporting to women in custody to maintain links with children and families. The route to market has not been finalised yet for the Social Work requirement, therefore this requirement may not be advertised as a grant and instead it may be a contract when the competition is ready to go live. The Ministry of Justice is holding a virtual market engagement event on Wednesday 10th May at 10am (which will last approx 90 minutes) to present more detail about these requirements. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.
