Neath Port Talbot Council is inviting suitably experienced organisations who are interested in delivering a Family Group Conference Service within Neath Port Talbot to a Market Engagement Event.Funding has been received from the Welsh Government for the provision of a Family Group Conference Service, the aims of which are to support the involvement of families (including extended family members and friends) in decision making about their children by preparing and facilitating Family Group Conference meetings.We anticipate the Family Group Conference Service to commence in approximately February/ March 2021 through the award of grant funding and will be delivered into the 2021/2022 financial year (dates to be confirmed).It is currently felt that the service will be awarded based on a grant application process whereby successful organisation(s) will be selected on the basis of experience, capacity to deliver the service and the most economically advantageous grant application.A market engagement event has been arranged for Monday 11th January 2021 between 9am and 5pm. Providers who may be interested in delivering the above service are invited to meet and discuss the grant application process and the service with Council officers. The format of the event will consist of the Council offering 1 hour slots with each provider; slots will be allocated on a first come first served basis.The event is an opportunity for the Council to seek views on the relative strengths and weaknesses of the service model and funding approach. There will also be an opportunity for the potential providers to ask the Council any questions it may have regarding the proposed application process and service.Please note due to current social distancing guidance, this meeting will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.
