Expressions of interest are sought from competent and qualified parties to provide Forestry Commission Wales (FCW) with Civil Engineering provision to construct new forest roads, bridges, tracks and paths on a Framework. These are wet bound macadam roads.This includes:•Submissions of Mini Competitions once on the Framework for roads, tracks and paths.•Submissions of Mini Competitions once on the Framework for new bridges.•Pre-Commencement Meetings with FCW staff prior to start of each new road-line.•Provision of Site Facilities as required by CDM 2007.•Project Management of the new projects.•Management of Health & Safety on site.•Compliance with Environmental and Waste Management Regulations.•Quality Management.•Site stripping and construction of formation on side slopes and the flat.•Floating roads over peat where required.•Installation of Culverts.•Surfacing of the formation in accordance with FCE Road & Track Specifications.•Where required construction of new entrances from public roads including black-top.Forestry Commission Wales will be awarding a Framework Agreement with five suppliers in each lot. There will be 2 lots, Lot A North & Lot B South Wales. Other Public Sector Bodies who will be able to use this Framework are the Welsh Assembly Government, Countryside Council for Wales and Environment Agency Wales. It is anticipated that the Framework will commence on 01st April 2011 for an initial period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further year. The estimated value of the Framework per annum is £300,000 - £750,000. The maximum value of the Framework over the whole period is £3 million.
