Image Skillnet is seeking tenders from suitable bodies/institutions for the development of a “Irish Sustainability Strategy and Framework of Implementable Actions for the Personal Grooming Industry.” As a minimum, this project will include the below activities:Within the personal care industry there is a recognition that many of the products and services provided by the industry may have a negative effect on the environment and actively add to carbon emissions and pollution of our ecosystems. From high usage of chemical, single use plastics, contaminated foils and metals that cannot be easily recycled in Ireland, impact on landfill, limited recycling, high water and energy consumption, tool inefficient tools, to the lack of a sustainable culture across the industry. There is much that can be resolved if the information is bespoke, relevant, attainable, and easily understood. It is our experience, that to create change, salons need to feel part of the seismic shift and see themselves reflected and empowered in that change. Image Skillnet seeks proposals for the develop an Irish Sustainability Strategy and Framework of Implementable Actions for the Personal Grooming Industry. Proposal should include the following outcomes:•a detailed strategy and framework for the personal grooming industry.•the understanding of the issues ahead.•what is achievable and what good looks like within the industry and outside the industry. •recommendations bespoke to the industry on reducing their carbon footprint.•bespoke action steps that can be taken and implemented.•understanding what will happen if we don’t evolve and why it is so important. •understanding consumer expectation and requirements. •delivery of information briefings nationally (minimum of 8 briefings)•development of supporting education information for salons. •resources packs that will support to help adjustment to become a sustainably cultured industry.•development of a sustainable vi
