Puffin Produce Ltd is Wales’ largest premier Potato and Vegetable packing firm. Based in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire and established in 1995 the business is wholly owned by the farmers and growers who supply them. The company has grown year on year over the last five years.Puffin Produce Ltd’s growth has been built on proactive engagement with the major retailers and their ability to secure contracts with Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s, Waitrose and M&S. In order to secure and maintain supply contracts with these leading retailers, Puffin Produce has been at the forefront of continuous development that include expansion of its facilities and development of its range of products to motivate increased sales and product marketability.Puffin Produce are currently embarking upon further investment in infrastructure to increase scale and efficiency of the current potato operation.This invitation to tender is aligned to supporting Puffin Produce Ltd with the development of their added value facility - category and Process opportunity.As part of their strategic development, the business is considering added value potatoes and prepared vegetable opportunities along with the option to build an added value processing plant on site.1.Puffin Produce require tenders from experience suppliers/contractor to conduct a feasibility on the category / product opportunities of prepared potatoes and vegetables and identify the necessary production processes involved in this sector.2.Puffin management would also like the contractors to provide a fully costed feasibility study and approach for a new added value prepared potato & vegetable processing facility.For both elements if this project, the tender should indicate:•Methodology employed in undertaking this work•Stakeholder involvement•Data and information required and responsibility for data purchase•Consultancy days involved•Members of personnel involved•Fee rates•Presentation of resultsThe project tender should be priced separately for the two distinct elements and should include Assumptions on which the tender proposal is based and all Exclusions.Contract Conditions:Liquidated Damages -£2,000 per week or part thereofRectification Period-3 MonthsRetention Percentage-3%Contractor’s Insurance Cover-£5,000,000Insurance Liability of Employer-£10,000,000Contract Period-Contractor to indicate within Tender
