The owner of Knapton House proposes to engage an experienced multidisciplinary consultancy team to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study into redeveloping the existing buildings including the Old Carriage House into tourist and holiday accommodation.Specification of Requirements•Business analysis – financial analysis and business planning for the proposal•Technical Analysis - design team to provide Architectural (Conservation Accredited), Engineering (Civil/Structural, Mechanical and Electrical) and Quantity surveying services required to deliver the scoping of the works and conceptual design through to the substantive design.Business Analysis:A Business Plan is required for the proposal. This should include analysis of the market for the proposed accommodation, and should integrate costings prepared by the quantity surveyor as part of the technical design. Technical Design:The study should provide for a fully designed project – with specifications and costings – that will facilitate a full and complete assessment of the feasibility of the overall development.This will involve1.A drawn measured survey of the existing buildings to form a basis for the feasibility design. 2.Development of a design for refurbishment of the identified buildings including the old carriage house and adjoining buildings. The design should to comply with building regulations, including fire safety and disabled access.3.Role of Project Supervisor for the Design Phase (PSDP) up to the feasibility stage.4.Preparation of an Architectural Heritage Impact Assessment for the proposed development (as described in Appendix B of the Architectural Heritage Protection Guidelines for Planning Authorities).It is essential that the plan should identify a phased development approach which will allow for the development of the site.he entire feasibility study exercise should be delivered by a multi-disciplinary design team.
