Text for Expression of InterestNatural Resources Wales (NRW) brings together the work of the Countryside Council for Wales, Environment Agency Wales and Forestry Commission Wales, as well as some functions of Welsh Government. Our purpose is to ensure that the natural resources of Wales are sustainably maintained, enhanced and used, now and in the future.Wales’ landscape, environment and wildlife are amongst its greatest resource, worth more than £8bn to the Welsh economy.NRW has inherited the Fishing Wales website www.fishing.visitwales.com from Environment Agency Wales. The website has been very popular in the past with directories of where to fish, tackle and tactics to use as well as river level graphs enabling anglers to plan their journey well.However the website needs developing, it has become dated, it has old branding and the look and feel of the site is old, databases which power searches have become outdated and previous work to update and change the site has meant the functionality has become awkward.We need to completely rebuild the website so that it fulfils the need better for its role in NRW. We wish to develop a new look and feel to the site to enable it to be more user friendly.
