Flexible Support Service for People Living with Dementia (CD0652-2).

Descriptions

The service is to provide support to enable people with dementia in a crisis or a deteriorating situation to remain living independently at home.The contract is split into 4 areas — North, South, East and West. The duration of this contract is from 1.4.2016 to 31.3.2017.The justification for the VEAT notice is that Suffolk County Council are currently working with the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG's) to commission an integrated post diagnosis dementia support service incorporating other dementia service contracts including this one. The intention is that this should be achieved by April 2017 and be jointly tendered during 2016/17. Suffolk County Council need to retain an effective support service whilst we develop and procure the wider service in partnership with the CCG's. This contract is for 12 months and would involve TUPE if tendered for 12 months, therefore as a holding position we intend to award to the current providers.
