Flintshire County Council is modernising its LD Day and Work Services. Following a service review the Council now seeks an innovative and progressive partner to deliver services under a commissioned contract.The Council provides day and work opportunities for more than 150 adults. The service delivers high quality respite care using three integrated models: a day service centre for people with multiple and complex needs; six small businesses offering supported work opportunities and skills development; and a supported job placement and coaching service in local businesses.The service supports people to develop their potential and promote independence, choice and control in keeping with the aspirations of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act. The service provides meaningful activities for people with complex support needs, with opportunities for people to access training and development, to build social and vocational skills and to increase independence.
