For the provision of a remote Benefits handling service on a call off basis

Tenders are invited for the supply of services in respect of the remote processing and handling of a range of Benefits work processing packages.The contract will be on a call off basis. PLEASE NOTE: the Council does not guarantee any minimum volume of work through this contract and work will be called off as and if required.The Council requires a flexible arrangement to enable the allocation of a number of work packages on a call off basis at times of peak demand. This will consist of a range of work packages consistent with the day to day workload for a busy Benefits division of a unitary Local Authority. More specifically:- Housing & Council Tax Benefit and Council Tax Local Support Scheme. Processing, from start to completion, a wide range of new claims, changes, more specialist work and handling general written correspondence. This will also include Free School Meals claim administration.The initial contract period is 12 months; the contract is estimated to commence 1.4.2014 and expire 31.3.2015.There will be an option to extend the contract for 2 further years, in annual increments, subject to funding, satisfactory performance, business needs and agreement by both parties. Maximum contract period is 3 years.
