West England Forest District (part of Forestry Commission England) are inviting tenders for planting and subsequent maintenance including beating up and chemical weed control, issued in 16 lots.All lots will include some or all of the following work:— restock planting of conifers and broadleaves with either spades or mattocks,— supply and erection of tree shelter/guards,— management and storage of on-site stocks,— beating up of conifers and broadleaves, including those in tubes,— supply and application of herbicide,— application of insecticide,— mechanical (hand or motor/manual) weeding,— Other general work relating to the establishment site, such as stake and tube maintenance, movement of materials.
