Forestry Commission Wales invite expressions of interest from suitably experienced, resourced and competent Building Contractor(s) to carry out the proposed refurbishment and alteration works.In summary the works involve the internal refurbishment of the premises to create larger and reconfigured office spaces and include the following:•Demolitions including removal of existing partitions and sections of existing suspended ceilings to create open plan spaces.•Structural alterations.•Installation of new partitions.•Alterations to ceilings.•Overhauling / replacing doors and frames.•New finishes including carpeting, vinyl sheet coverings and decoration.•Insulation to roof space.•Mechanical and Electrical works. •Alterations to existing kitchen and formation of new tea point. •Provisional – External decorations.The premises will be partly occupied throughout the works and the office will remain fully functioning. The works will be phased so as to allow for areas of the building to be safely occupied by FCW staff while works are undertaken in other areas and vice versa.The estimated total value of the contract will be £50,000 – £60,000 but this could rise to a value of £80,000. It is anticipated that the works will commence in December 2011 and be completed March 2012.
